Yes, here in San Francisco we have one of the highest costs of living in the country. The inequality is stark, with people living and dying in squalor alongside billionaires. The U.N. has referred to the situation of people experiencing homelessness here in the SF Bay Area a human rights violation. This is in a city with Democratic leadership.

In addition, my point about police violence against Black and Brown people stands, despite having a Black mayor and Black chief of police here in SF. These are important considerations for trans people of color considering relocation.
