Speaking as a Black transmasculine person, pacifist, and prison abolitionist, I do not support Kamala Harris, and agree that the Democratic Party takes the Black vote for granted. But I would never in a million years vote for Donald Trump.

It saddens me that voters of any race feel that they must choose a candidate from one of the two major U.S. political parties. And it angers me when voters of any race are told that they are betraying marginalized people if they don't vote Democratic.

This November, I plan to vote for local and state ballot measures and nonpartisan local offices, and encourage others to do so. But I do not plan to vote for any presidential candidate, and I do not blame any other voters who likewise choose to abstain from this contest.
