Sigh - I get the point you're making, but still find this depressing. I do hope we move beyond a society that values Black folks primarily as entertainers and athletes.

FWIW I've never owned a car and very rarely fly, though I have non-environmental reasons for these choices. I do think individual actions can make a difference, especially when it comes to animal agriculture, though I'm personally vegan for ethical rather than environmental reasons.
