Rats and crows are highly intelligent animals, too! I've been trying to befriend the wild crows that visit our balcony. Though I feed them peanuts, I know that crows also eat the flesh of dead animals and whatever else they can get their beaks on. All fine by me.

Regardless, I'm vegan myself, and agree that non-vegans should not look down on those who kill the animals that they eat. Though I don't condone any unnecessary killing, those who buy the shrink-wrapped bodies of animals in a grocery store are not ethically superior to those who shop at a wet market.
