Most of the people fighting on the ground, in any war, don't want to be there. The real perpetrators, the rulers, stay safe and sound while they send soldiers out to die. I will not argue that soldiers have any less right to live than the people they're attacking, no matter which side they're on. No one should be waging war in the first place.

Yes, I'm aware this is idealism. And yes, I am privileged to be a US-American. That doesn't change my convictions.
