More great stuff this week. "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" was the song that first really got me into Elton John. I also love the video; my favorite style of music videos both tell a story and show the singer/band performing. I went on to buy many of Elton's albums and sheet music books (I play piano and sang roughly in his range before my gender transition), and eventually saw him perform with Billy Joel on one of their "Face to Face" tours, a fantastic experience.

Billy Joel was my favorite solo artist in the 80s; I also bought his albums and sheet music and saw him in concert three times in three different cities, including the aforementioned tour. But I wasn't that enamored with An Innocent Man, other than the title song, nor do I care for his latest release and accompanying deepfake video, which I wrote about earlier this year (https://funcrunch.medium.com/why-billy-joels-new-deepfake-video-makes-me-sad-d26bb5896558) Regarding "We Didn't Start the Fire", which I also dislike, Billy has admitted that it's "probably the worse musical thing I've ever written" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp2DBcaEnr0)

I also love "Owner of a Lonely Heart" (creepy video though) and "All Night Long".
