I’ve been a writer on Medium since before the partner program first rolled out, and I'm really not impressed with this "new reading experience".

To echo many of the comments in the main story on this update (https://blog.medium.com/a-better-medium-com-d468104ebb90) :

- Having a persistent column alongside our stories featuring the work of other writers is not helpful (if anywhere, this should be at the bottom and not persistent)

- Removing the ability to resize images is really not helpful

- Harder to find the tags on the articles now

Also, I would really like to see a dark mode on the web version. It's not just a design preference in my case; I have switched everything possible to dark mode for medical reasons.
