Interesting, I didn't think of Animal Crossing as a management game, but I guess it is. In that vein, Stardew Valley is my favorite in the genre. I also love Oxygen Not Included. I've played many hours of The Sims, SimCity and Cities:Skylines as well. I wrote about some of these games a few months back:

I tried Bear and Breakfast, but didn't get very far in it as I found the (Switch) controls frustrating, among other reasons. I should give it another shot. I vowed not to buy any new games this year* as I own too many that I'm not playing already!

* With an exception for Haunted Chocolatier if that gets released in 2024.
