Interesting discussion. I know from first-hand experience as a mixed-race person (Black mother, white Jewish father) that visual appearance can be misleading. I have been mistaken for many different races.

Yes, Paris Jackson looks (very) white to me, but it's not completely impossible to believe that Michael Jackson is her birth father. I'm not familiar with her advocacy or lack thereof for Black folks, but it would be good for her to use her light-skin privilege and fame to lift up others. I don't think she's obligated to do so in order to claim a Black identity, however.
