Interesting. I live in San Francisco, not far from where the Waymo torching happened, so I've read a fair amount about the incident. As such, I have mixed feelings about violence "against stuff" vs people.
As a pacifist, I have zero tolerance for deadly violence against human beings. I do not support the intentional killing of humans for any reason, even as an act against oppression:

Against property, however, I'm not opposed to intentional destruction as an act of protest if it is done in a way that minimizes risk of physical harm to humans or animals. I am no fan of Waymos or other self-driving vehicles, but throwing a lit firecracker into a car on a crowded public street was a reckless act. It's fortunate that no one was injured or killed.
