I'm not currently using customization in my profile, and have no interest in doing so. However, if you are removing customization to make Medium "accessible to everyone", I question why you are allowing publications to keep their custom formatting.

Your stated core mission of "building the best place for people to share their stories" cannot be achieved without making accessibility a priority. Please consider this carefully.
