I'm fine with trans folks referring to themselves however they wish. As a nonbinary trans person myself, I can't and won't say that I'm a "man" or "woman" with or without qualifiers, though I did transition to male for legal and medical purposes. I'm usually most comfortable just saying that I'm trans, but I also add nonbinary, agender, and transmasculine as self-descriptors when and where appropriate.
