If by the "young white lady was shot under identical circumstances" you are referring to the car that pulled into the wrong driveway, or the woman who opened the door to the wrong car, I read about both those stories in the national news as well. I did not mention these shootings - which were also tragedies - in this story because they were not relevant to my primary point, which was about respectability politics. However, I did note that our gun culture transcends racial and ethnic identities.
Regarding "civilian fatalities", did you read the article I linked to with statistics on police homicides?
