I wasn’t saying that marginalized people shouldn’t speak out about oppression — absolutely we should and must, to the extent we are able to do so without further compromising our safety and well-being. I was only referring specifically to the notion of “healing” from racism and trans-antagonism that you brought up. I felt that shifted the attention to the needs and feelings of the people doing the oppressing. While racists and trans-antagonists might (and should) feel really bad about their actions once they understand what they’ve done, the impact on their targets is far worse.
