I think most Democrats are just finding it impossible to accept that over 60 million of their fellow US-Americans willingly voted for an inept, politically inexperienced, unrepentant bigot over their anointed successor to Obama. But I have no trouble believing that Trump voters acted of their own accord, without any need of prompting by a foreign power; Trump’s attitude is, sadly, reflective of our country’s heritage.

I want Trump gone as much as anyone, but not by any means that would produce a President Pence, who would be poised to implement even more oppressive policies. As for myself, I will continue to support progressive independent and third-party candidates, without regret or apology.
