I’ve seen this too, and as a pacifist it really bothers me, even if I understand the sentiment. I'm a queer Black trans person in a same-sex marriage, so I certainly have a lot to worry about from those who hate me just for who I am. But I do not believe that responding to violence with more violence will make things any better.
