I remember when meta stories weren't eligible for Partner Program earnings at all, and I wish it were still that way. Despite avoiding clicking on any of these stories (with some exceptions for writers I'm already following who do not focus primarily on meta topics), they still end up in my recommendations and email digests. And a large number of my recent followers and "clappers" focus on these meta topics as well. As someone who's been with Medium since before the Partner Program even launched, I find this disappointing, and it's made me less interested in reading stories on this site.
