I love Jonathan Richman! I saw him perform in the SF Bay Area numerous times.

I appreciate artists who write songs about mundane and strange topics. I remember watching David Byrne’s self-interview about the Talking Heads film Stop Making Sense, where he addressed a question about why he doesn’t write love songs. He said love is a big thing, and he prefers to write about small things.
