Hey, we're about the same age, but you beat me online by several years; I didn't get my first modem until 1989, my sophomore year of college. In 1981 we didn't even have a home computer yet; we got a Commodore VIC-20 around 1984.

Re Twitter, I logged out of my 15-year-old account in December, and don't miss it. I do feel sorry for those who found genuine community on that platform, but I'm much happier on Mastodon.
