Fun review! I too have heard "I Love The Nightlife" since the 70s, but had never watched the video before reading this article. I had no idea the singer was white! 🤯 Regardless, I love Bridges' voice, and I can't even think about this song without dancing. The groove is infectious!

In contrast, I saw the video for Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" far too many times, as I was really into MTV at the time it came out. Today, I remember it mostly for launching the acting career of Courteney Cox (aka Monica from Friends).
