… “top phobic” or any other absurdity. Same ought to apply to those who have strong cis preferences. If penises are a turnoff for you, there is nothing bigoted about that. We don’t expect lesbian women to date effeminate men just because they might have an initial attraction based on the presumption of femininity. But we want to label cis men who won’t date trans women as bigots and this is patently ridiculous.
If this is really about language rather than phobia then let’s get real about language for a minute.

For me, as I tried to explain in my post, the issue is not a straight man or lesbian rejecting an individual trans woman because she has a penis. The issue is assuming that all trans women have penises and are therefore not suitable as sexual partners for straight men or lesbians.
ETA: I know my original post was specifically about bi people; same reasoning would apply to a bi person who wouldn't want to date a woman with a penis.
