As a pacifist who literally named themself Peace and Nonviolence (Pax Ahimsa), I agree that everyone, including Christians, should renounce war and promote peace. But as a queer Black trans person who supports women and reproductive rights, I cannot support the Catholic Church in any way, regardless of how "progressive" Pope Francis appears compared with previous pontiffs.
