A bit of a nitpick with these two highlights, as Ariel Meadow Stallings works for Medium and M.G. Siegler (who I also follow and enjoy) is general partner at a venture capital firm that funded Medium. So it makes sense that you know both and that neither were boosted. ;-)
Regarding The New York Times, I have a games subscription with them but generally avoid reading that publication otherwise. Many have expressed concerns over their publication of transphobic articles and unfair treatment of employees, amongst other issues.
